Disney's Pandora- World of Avatar Hit Hard with Recent Change

The Pandora- World of Avatar captures the beauty of Disney's immersive storytelling. As you begin traveling from Africa, you can see the subtle changes to the lampposts, the pavement, and even the sounds you hear as you enter this enchanting land.

In this world, there are two unique attractions: the Na'vi River Journey and the Avatar Flight of Passage. There are various walking paths that guests can take to enjoy the beautiful landscape of this exotic land.

Part of what makes this land so immersive is the landscape. However, this entire land was hit hard with severe cold weather this winter.

Disney Alerts Guests of Park Changes

In order to prepare for this icy, arctic blast, Cast Members worked tirelessly to cover many plants and flower beds throughout the Walt Disney World Resort.

Unfortunately, there were a few casualties from the big freeze. Earlier we shared signs posted from the Disney Horticulture Team stating, "Please pardon our appearance, we had a visit from Jack Frost."

The Disney Horticulture Team shares, "We are in the process of replanting this area for your future enjoyment."

Pandora Landscape

On a recent trip, the most affected area by this winter weather was in Pandora-World of Avatar. The photo (featured above) has no filter and shows the drab and dead look that affects of this once lush landscape.

The bad news is that the entire land was greatly affected, but the good news is that we saw the Disney Horticulture Team at work.

While it will take time to care for so many affected plants, your next trip to Pandora- World of Avatar may look much different for several weeks.
