Disney's Lakeshore Lodge

Disney Vacation Club has announced that Disney Lakeshore Lodge will replace Reflections - A Disney Lakeside Lodge. This new resort will be in the same footprint that was planned for the Reflections resort.
Disney has replaced the planned Reflections - A Disney Lakeside Lodge with Disney Lakeshore Lodge.
The new DVC resort is expected to open in 2027! Disney stated that the resort is "inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists."
Amazing Benefits at This Resort

Disney's Lakeshore Lodge's alleged plans include a lazy river, zero-entry design, water slides, and a splash pad. The anticipated location will leave pool guests with spectacular waterfront views.
Guests at Disney's Lakeshore Lodge will have an amazing pool along with a spectacular Magic Kingdom fireworks view.
The pool isn't the only amazing benefit this new hotel will offer. It will also offer amazing views of the Magic Kingdom's fireworks. Check out the view this resort will have HERE.
Construction Update

As you can see from our update in March, Disney is making a lot of progress on this new hotel. This hotel has a prime location, and it is sure to be popular among Disney guests.
There are still many cranes surrounding the hotel structure. Lakeshore Lodge has made lots of vertical progress in the last few months! At our last update, they only had two floors complete and had begun working on the third. Look at it now in the picture above!
No new images or concept art have been released for Lakeshore Lodge.

Even with many excited for this new hotel, there is some concern from campers at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Lakeshore Lodge is very close to Pioneer Hall. Hopefully, this hotel will have a similar final reaction as the DVC cabins. Campers were skeptical at first(myself included) about how the new cabins would change the vibe and feeling of The Fort. I think most were pleasantly surprised with the outcome and how nicely they fit in. I am hopeful Lakeshore Lodge will have the same result.
Fortunately, during my most recent stay at The Fort Wilderness Campground, I could only hear and see the construction when visiting Pioneer Hall, the Settlement Trading Post, or taking the boat to Magic Kingdom. Be prepared to hear and see construction when visiting The Fort Wilderness Campground.
What do you think of the progress Disney has made on Lakeshore Lodge? Will you be planning a stay there when it opens? Do you feel that this hotel will change the vibe of Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground? Let us know in the comments below, and be sure to share this post with your friends!

I have two thoughts. I hope the final appearance of the new resort is fitting and appropriate for Fort Wilderness. I do not want to see a resort that resembles the Polynesian Tower, which I think is missing an opportunity on its own. Borrowing themes from the Wilderness Lodge will work. No more cheap, poorly themed resorts, Disney. I also hope Disney addresses the restaurant gap at Fort Wilderness. Since they converted Trails End to a counter service restaurant, Fort Wilderness has been undeserved. This stopped us from considering adding on to our DVC membership with the Ft Wilderness Cabins. The old Trails End was fantastic.
Agree! I really hope they bring some good food options too. It was so sad when they converted Trails End to a quick service. I hope the theming fits because it could be really beautiful there. I also really hope they reopen the walkway from The Fort to the Lodge. Thanks for reading!
