EPCOT Closures
Occasionally, our favorite attractions, restaurants, shops, and even sections of hotels are closed for a minor or sometimes major refurbishment. These refurbishments can sometimes greatly affect your vacation.
Back in January, we shared that EPCOT's Refreshment Port was closing. Disney did not provide details regarding what the refurbishment would include. There was also no official reopening date announced.
We had hopes that this location would eventually reopen. Today, we have an official announcement that Refreshment Port is closed permanently.
Refreshment Port Closed
Refreshment Port was a permanent kiosk that offered delicious ice cream treats along with varying poutine entrees (changing for each festival).
This location will reopen as La Poutinerie, hosted by Air Canada, with a new partnership deal.
Air Canada provided a brief description for this new location: "A taste of Canada at EPCOT. La Poutinerie, hosted by Air Canada, brings a Canadian classic with a twist."
La Poutinerie Opening at EPCOT
Neither Disney nor Air Canada has provided an opening date or a list of menu items. However, we do have concept art of what this new dining kiosk may look like when it officially opens.
Refreshment Port is changing to La Poutinerie.
Many times, concept art does not exactly meet reality, but we love the small Canadian touches with the maple tree and Canadian geese added to this dining location. Continue following along with Kenny the Pirate Crew as we share additional opening details.
