Possible Opening Date For the Disney Starlight Nighttime Parade

Disney just made a big entertainment change that hints at the opening day of its newest "Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away" nighttime parade. Although this is unofficial, you may want to start making your Magic Kingdom park plans.

Magic Kingdom fans have been waiting for a nighttime parade since 2016. "Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away" will draw inspiration from the rich history of nighttime parades at Magic Kingdom.

Disney has promised that there will be more than a few Easter eggs for Disney parade fans to discover and delight in. This parade will show reverence to the original classic characters while also including contemporary stories

Disney describes this parade as "a star-kissed constellation of Disney dreams, brought to life by the magic of the Blue Fairy."

Unfortunately, Disney has still not released an opening date for this parade, but has simply shared an opening summer 2025. Although simply a possibility, it seems that a few operational changes hint that this parade may debut in July.

Recently, we shared that Extended Evening Hours will shift from Magic Kingdom on Wednesday, July 2, and will instead be hosted at Disney's Animal Kingdom. This is a notable change, but thankfully not the only shift.

Next is the one that we have kept our pirate spyglasses out for, a notable change for Happily Ever After showtimes. Typically, Happily Ever After showtimes shift to 9:20 pm due to later summer evenings. On July 6, 2025, Happily Ever After makes a noticeable shift with a 10:00 pm showtime.

A later Happily Ever After showtime also has us wondering if there may be two showtimes for "Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away." This could allow for one earlier Disney Starlight Parade, then Happily Ever After fireworks, and followed by a second Disney Starlight Parade.

At this time, this is still unofficial, but something special seems to be happening with the entertainment shifts starting early July 2025.
