Frozen Ever After Was Struggling Yesterday
For years, we begged for higher-quality animatronics for EPCOT's Frozen Ever After, but after only a few months, this attraction shows concerning signs.
Frozen Ever After
The Frozen Ever After attraction is quite popular with guests both young and young at heart and often has wait times of an hour or more of waiting during peak seasons.
Guests are invited to hop on an ancient Nordic boat and voyage through scenes of the film. This journey includes many of our favorite songs while also plunging guests forward and backward through the wintry world of Frozen.
Frozen Ever After closed on January 26, 2026, for a pretty big update to give new face animatronics for Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff.
Frozen Ever After Changes
Frozen Ever After reopened with the new audio-animatronics on February 12, 2026. You can read about some additional updates that happened during the closure HERE.
Since that time, guests have enjoyed this new refresh, but it is showing some disappointing malfunctions.
Yesterday, July 23, 2026, we headed to Frozen Ever After at park opening. When we first spotted Olaf dancing and spinning on the ice, his head was stuck looking down for the entire scene.
Frozen Ever After Malfunctions
As we journeyed further and spotted Anna, Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf, Anna's left eye continued to stick, and her right hand would jerk. The moment that many Guests anticipate is seeing Elsa singing "Let It Go". Elsa's eyes were stuck looking towards the right.
Multiple animatronic malfunctions were noticed aboard Frozen Ever After on July 23, 2026.
It looked as though she was giving all Guests aboard our Nordic boat the side eye. Finally, as we made it to the final scene with both Anna and Elsa together, they both had eye malfunctions.
While we understand a malfunction here and there, it seemed disappointing for Guests to see a malfunction in almost every newly reimagined scene. We hope that this was an isolated incident and not a bigger problem for future guests.
