Haunted Mansion Holiday Overlay
During the seasons of Halloween and Christmas time, the residents of the Haunted Mansion temporarily relocate as the residents of Halloween Town take residency for the two special holiday seasons.
The Pumpkin King himself, Jack Skellington from Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, features an overlay complete with a real life gingerbread house located in the Grand Hall.
The overlay has remained exclusive to Disneyland Park even though many have wanted this overlay to come to the attraction in Disney World.
Upcoming Haunted Mansion Closure!
The last day to enjoy the Haunted Mansion in its traditional state this year is Friday, August 7th. The attraction will close to receive the Haunted Mansion Holiday seasonal overlay.
The Haunted Mansion will be closed beginning August 8th and will reopen as the Haunted Mansion Holiday on August 21st.
Haunted Mansion Holiday is scheduled to return on August 21, 2026. At this time, it has not been announced how long this overlay will stay, but it typically runs through the end of the current year and a little into the upcoming.
What Does This Mean For You?
If you are hoping to catch the traditional Haunted Mansion you are going to want to visit before it closes on August 8th. The attraction will be closed for 13 days before it reopens with its holiday overlay.

This closure can be disappointing for Guests who are visiting during that time, but the overlay is a fun addition.
