Refurbishment is a dreaded word for Disney fans who will soon be visiting Disney Parks. In theory, we all understand that refurbishments are a necessary part of keeping each Park magical.

However, it is sad when one of your favorite attractions or even resort pools is affected by an extended refurbishment. Currently over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the Boneyard is undergoing a fairly lengthy refurbishment, but thankfully part of this attraction is still open to guests.

Over at EPCOT, a refurbishment will begin soon for Biergarten. The good news is that part of this dining location will remain open even amid refurbishment. Find out more about this HERE.

For the most part, Disney makes announcements for refurbishments and possible construction ahead of time. This allows guests ample time to prepare and make alternative changes in case a favorite attraction or dining location will be closed.

At other times, construction walls are erected with no prior notice. We recently saw this over at Magic Kingdom as large construction walls have been in place for several weeks as they remove the 50th Anniversary decorations from Cinderella Castle.

Also, we noticed crane and construction crews are in place around the World Showcase at EPCOT. Although construction walls and large cranes do not cause operational changes, it does affect guests’ overall experiences.

Over at EPCOT, a new refurbishment is now underway. At World Discovery, guests now see large construction walls at the front entrance of Mission: Space. At first, it may appear that the attraction is closed with the construction walls surrounding the large planets at the front of this attraction.

Although we were not expecting these construction walls, it appears that this work will only be to touch on painting on these planets. Mission: Space will remain open to guests during this refurbishment. Be sure to check out all of the fun in the Advanced Training Lab at the end of this attraction.

What do you think of the many refurbishment projects taking place around Walt Disney World? Do you think there are too many construction walls throughout EPCOT? Does this affect your overall experience? Share your thoughts and share this news with a fellow Disney pal.

Epcot has had walls up for years. Big inconvenience to walk around! When are they coming down?

There is an opened walkway in between, but the walls probably won't be down until Moana Journey of Water is close to opening. https://www.kennythepirate.com/2023/03/22/yay-new-walkway-opens-at-epcot-making-it-easier-to-navigate-the-park/
