Guests visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom now see a big change in the park map. What do you think of this change?
Changes for Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Disney’s Animal Kingdom has undergone many changes throughout the last few years year. The once-celebrated 50th Anniversary show “Kite Tails” appeared to be a bit of a flop. This show did not continue throughout the 50th Anniversary celebration as once promised.
Back in October 2021, we saw the complete removal of Primeval Whirl located in Dinoland USA. The many changes have been reflected with updated guide maps for the park, but it seems that this park needs a much-needed update.
Big Change to Park Map
Walt Disney World began “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” for the 50th Anniversary of the Magic Kingdom. This celebration extended for a full 18 months. Some guests are ready for the end of this celebration, but others (like myself) are sad to say “see ya real soon” to this magical celebration.
One Beacon of Magic show is now no longer offered along with the end date for Disney’s Enchantment and Harmonious. At this time, we have no official word on the fate of the 50th Anniversary golden statues found throughout the parks, but we may have a clue as to the fate of Cinderella Castle.
Today, guests noticed that the park guide maps received a makeover. The 50th-anniversary overlay is missing from this guide map. We will likely see more and more changes take place throughout Walt Disney World as we approach the end of the 50th Anniversary.
Today, guests noticed that the park guide maps received a makeover with the 50th Anniversary taken off the park map.
The special Character Flotilla is now mentioned under Entertainment and now offers a designated route on the park map. There is also an added note under Park Rules reminding guests of the formal courtesy reminder on both the Walt Disney World website and also to the Disneyland website. Guests are encouraged to “Be the magic you want to see in the world.”
