In the past, Disney has issued certain restrictions when booking a Disney Resort reservation. Walt Disney World began to block Resort single-day Resort stays last year. When Guests requested a single night stay at a Disney Resort it showed that there was no availability.

However, Guests found availability at the same Resort for the same date when requesting two or more nights. Although Disney did not announce this resort restriction, we listed a few reasons for these possible restrictions HERE. These restrictions were lifted with a few exceptions last December. Read more about this HERE.

With the uncertain weather patterns of Hurricane Ian, guests see even more resort restrictions. Guests hoping to make a new Disney Resort Reservation this week may be out of luck.

Yesterday, we shared that the Disney World Parks will be closed on both Wednesday, September 28th, and Thursday, September 29th. At this time Walt Disney World is set to reopen on Friday, September 30th.

Previously we shared that in preparation for Hurricane Ian, Walt Disney World no longer offers resort availability starting today, September 26th, through Thursday, September 29th.  Disney Resort reservations were set to be available starting on Friday, September 30th.

However, the restriction has now been extended through October 1st. Guests may now find availability at Disney Resorts starting on October 2nd. We pray for all guests visiting Walt Disney World and those living in the path of Hurricane Ian.

Guests may now find availability at Disney Resorts starting on October 2nd.

Guests currently checking into a Walt Disney World Resort will need to be aware of the current check-in times that are in place at all Walt Disney World Resorts. You can read about this HERE.
