Soarin Over the Middle Class?

For the past decade, it has been postulated that Disney is steadily pricing out the middle class. Price increases, the stripping away of perks such as free FastPass and Magical Express, and lavishly priced items do sometimes make it seem so at times.

Also, the presence of luxury items such as the $5000 Drink on the Disney Wish, the 50th-anniversary teddy bear, and pricey ears do remind people that there are plenty of people in the parks with high levels of wealth. However, for some Guests, these costs are comparatively little in the grand scheme of things.

But remember, dear readers, there are plenty of ways to keep your Disney vacation affordable. Follow us for all the latest deals that turn up. One of them, of course, is avoiding pricey souvenirs.

Collaborations

Disney has been collaborating with popular designer brands to bring guests some high-priced merch with fancy labels. Kate Spade, Vera Bradly, and Lilly Pulitzer have all had fun collaborations this year.

Another such collaboration happened with Coach in celebration of the 50th Anniversary. You can read about the initial merchandise drop right here.

Now, Coach has added a line of leather plushies to the collaboration. The line includes Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy. The Donald is particularly cute. Each is posed in a seated position, ready to adorn a shelf or a bed.

They are priced at a whopping $600 each! That is more than the cost of single-day park tickets for a family of four.

The new coach plush Disney characters cost $600 each.

Would you pay $600 for these stuffed animals?  Let us know in the comments below or on our Facebook page. Or, keep the conversation going and share them with us in our crew, too!
