Disney Responds to Park Overcrowding
We've been worried about parks reaching capacity for some time now. See how Disney finally responds to this growing problem.
Disney Parks Overcrowding

For 2025, Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel can enjoy admission to one of the water parks on check-in day! This is included with your stay.
This is a great perk for many and will grow in popularity as we head into spring and summer. Previously, both water parks were open simultaneously, but since 2020, there has been no overlap in having both water parks open to guests.
Disney resort guests were worried about this, especially since Blizzard Beach has reached capacity for non-resort guests.
All Disney World Parks Open

Many wondered if both water parks may open simultaneously in 2025 because of the newest resort perk for free water park admission. Earlier we shared, that the Walt Disney World calendar showed no operational hours starting in May for Blizzard Beach.
Along with the Cool Kid Summer promotions, Disney announced that for the "First Time in Forever" all 6 Walt Disney Parks will be open this summer.
Today in honor of the 30th anniversary of Disney's Blizzard Beach opening, Disney shares that Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon will be open this summer allowing guests to enjoy both water parks with this free Disney Resort perk.
Blizzard Beach Closing

Before the summer fun can begin, Blizzard Beach will need a little melt-away time and will temporarily close between May 1 and May 20.
Starting May 21 both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach will be open.
We are so happy that both water parks will be open. This is the first time since 2019 that all six Walt Disney World Parks (4 Theme Parks and 2 Water Parks) will be open at the same time.
