Big news! Disney is trialing the return of something big we have been missing. Find out where this amazing service has returned.
Resort Airline Check-In

Disney World used to offer Resort Airline Check-In. Unfortunately, this amazing offering disappeared during Walt Disney World’s closure for COVID-19.
Resort Airline Check-In lets Guests check their bags with their airline at their Disney hotel, letting guests have a stress-free airport experience.
According to Disney World’s website, Resort Airline Check-In is no longer available. However, that could be changing.
Resort Airline Check-In Trial

It has been reported that Disney is trialing Resort Airline Check-In! This is not being advertised and no signage is posted. Guests are being told by word of mouth or asking Cast Members.
Currently, it is being trialed at Pop Century and only for Southwest Airlines flights. Guests must be checked in to their flight before utilizing the service and any baggage fees paid ahead (coming soon).
It is rumored to be rolling out at other Value Resorts later this month. Also, if there is more interest it could expand to other airlines.
What We Know

A third party, Bag Check, is handling this trial. The owner of Bag Check previously owned Bags, Inc. which handled Resort Airline Check-In before.
This service is giving the “Disney Bubble” feeling and is complimentary.
Guests who are eligible for this service can visit the Luggage Assistance desk. Just like before, once a bag is checked the bag can no longer be accessed.
Guests with flights before 1 pm must check their bags the night before. For flights after 1 pm, Guests must check their bags FOUR hours before their flight.
