Do you want to know where is the absolute best place to recharge while in the “Most Magical Place on Earth”? Check out this guide before your next trip to Walt Disney World.
Best Hidden Secret
Have you ever been at the Magic Kingdom and just needed a break? We all have had that moment where we need to take a break from the crowds. There is a great location right in the Magic Kingdom that allows you to escape the crowds and not only recharge your digital devices, but also recharge yourself as well.
As you walk past “it’s a small world” and you are about to exit Fantasyland there is a beautiful oasis. This area was designed to look like Corona from the animated classic Tangled. You will see beautiful lightning, whimsical houses, and gorgeous bunting with the signature sun crest symbol from the film.
What many Guests do not realize is that this tiny oasis is the best place to recharge at the Magic Kingdom.
Best Rest Area in the Magic Kingdom
Okay so no one really sits around wondering where the best bathrooms are in the Disney Parks. However, most Walt Disney World Guests can agree that the best bathrooms in the Magic Kingdom are in the Tangled themed rest area.
You truly feel like you are entering into Rapunzel’s tower as you enter through the arched doorways. Once inside, look around to spy all of the brightly colored artwork that looks this is straight from Rapunzel’s artwork.
Recharging Stations
Want to be able to sit back and recharge before you head out on your next adventure in the Magic Kingdom? Just past the bathroom and village facades, Guests can enjoy a large seating area. There is ample seating for many Guests to be able to sit back and relax.
But this is not just a fun, relaxing space. You can also charge all of your electronic devices at this location. We know what you are thinking, no one wants to be on their phone while at Walt Disney World.
This is very true and we wish we could be totally unplugged and enjoy every second of the Disney experience. With the introduction of Disney Genie, Disney Genie+, and Individual Lighting Lanes, Guests are now on their devices more while at Walt Disney World.
Also adding to the drain for battery on your phone is the use of mobile ordering at many of the Disney dining locations. This all leads to many Guests looking for a way to recharge their devices while in the Disney Parks.
Many Guests don’t realize that hidden in the wooden stumps in the Tangled seating location are charging locations. In the above photo, you can see a small door located in the notched out midsection of this faux wooden stump.
Please note that you will need to bring charging cable to be able to use these great charging locations, but they offer both a wall outlet and a USB charging port as well.
This is a great way to relax and recharge while also charging your devices as well.

Pascal Scavenger Hunt
I (Donna) have walked past this Tangled inspired area and overlooked this fun Pascal scavenger hunt. This is such a fun way to relax while also have some fun as well. Pascal is Rapunzel’s side kick and a spirited little chameleon that can blend in with any surrounding.
This is what makes this scavenger hunt so much fun and also a little challenging. There are a few locations where Pascal is a bit easier to spot, such as on the rocks near the bridge.
While other more distant locations make it a bit more difficult to find our favorite sidekick. Let’s see if you can spot Pascal in this photo:
This photo was taken from the seating area facing the walkway going towards the Haunted Mansion and the Memento Mori gift shop. It took us a little while to finally spot Pascal.
Check out the close up photo to see where he was hiding:
There are a total of 10 Pascals hiding near this Tangled location. These can be found in window boxes, in the stream, on trees, and more. Of course there is no prize for finding all of the hidden Pascals, but this is a great FREE way to take a break during the day.

Unique Photo Opportunity
My husband was a little confused why I wanted to get a picture outside of a bathroom. That is until he saw the floating lanterns. At this Tangled location, PhotoPass photographers are available at dusk until park closing to capture a beautiful photo as you hold the glowing lantern.
These photos can be downloaded with the purchase of the Memory Maker, they can be purchased individually, or they are included by paying an additional fee with select Annual Passes.
Rapunzel is my favorite Disney princess, and I absolutely love this setting at night. This is a great memory to make for princesses young and not so young alike.
More Magical Locations
I absolutely love the small hidden spaces that allow us to connect as a family while enjoying the simple magic of Disney. In the Magic Kingdom, we love exploring Tom Sawyer Island. Also check out these hidden treasures of the Magic Kingdom.
Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the Wilderness Explorer Program is a FREE program for all Guests visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom. There are over 20 badge locations scattered throughout the Park. At each location, Wilderness Explorers will use their handbook to learn about animals, conservation, plant life, and animal nutrition.
