Refurbishment is a dreaded word for Disney fans who will soon be visiting the Disney Parks. In theory, we all understand that refurbishments are a necessary part of keeping each Park magical.

However, it is sad when one of your favorite rides, attractions, or even photo opportunities are affected by an extended refurbishment. We recently shared that Mickey’s Toontown will receive a HUGE overhaul.

Of course Disneyland Guests can still enjoy a great interaction with Mickey Mouse and party in his home. Check out this fun enchanting extra HERE.

In Disneyland, January will be a busy month…for attraction closures. One attraction that always undergoes a closure in January is “it’s a small world”. This allows the attraction to return to normal after the holiday overlay.

Another attraction that typically undergoes a refurbishment in January is Splash Mountain. This is true this January for this attraction in Disneyland and also in Walt Disney World.

On one particular date, January 31, 2022, a total of 7 attractions will be closed in Disneyland!

Guests heading over to California Adventure Park will find only 2 attractions closed on January 31, 2022. Grizzly River Run and also Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind will be closed on this date.

Grizzly River Run is very similar to Kali River Rapids in Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom. This attraction may not be as missed because who want to get drenched in January? This attraction will close for refurbishment on January 24th and will remain closed until the spring of 2022.

Many of these attractions will have a temporary closure while only a few will be closed until the spring, but this still seems like quite a hefty list of closures coinciding on January 31st.
