Disney World is 50!

The Most Magical Place on Earth is celebrating 50 years! Disney is celebrating big for this special milestone. Character costumes, extended park hours, 50 golden statues of our favorite characters, and so much are just a little of what we can expect to see during the 18 month long celebration.

Check out our full guide to the 50th HERE. This guide is continually updated as needed when Disney shares new information.

Commercial

Disney has released a few commercials in the past (HERE and HERE), but this is the first one to include “The Magic Is Calling” which is the theme song for the anniversary celebrations.

Platinum-selling songwriter and music producer Alana Da Fonseca answered the call to create an original anthem for the 50th Anniversary, collaborating with award-winning composer Emily Bear and singing phenom Journi on “The Magic Is Calling.” (Disney Parks Blog)

You can see a behind-the-scenes look of the song’s progress HERE.

The song is beautiful and gives me chills! What do you think of the song?

Various scenes of our favorite lands, attractions, and entertainment are all included in the commercial. If you look carefully you can also spot some of the ear-idescent sparkles that play a major role in the celebrations.

We will see this ear-idescene on park icons, costumes, and merchandise. It is sure to be a special time in the parks as Disney celebrates a huge milestone.
