EPCOT Security Steps in Fast After Altercation at Cosmic Rewind
Cosmic Rewind garners long wait times, which leads to Guests being frustrated while waiting in long standby queues. However, we did not expect to see this happen at Disney.
Disney Guests Behaving Badly
Over the last few years, we have seen our fair share of poorly behaved Guests. Whether that be someone dressing up as Mickey Mouse, brawls breaking out, or a man assaulting Mirabel for a photo and an autograph, we feel like we have seen it all.
Disney even went so far as to post a courtesy reminder on the website.
Be the magic you want to see in the world. You must always remember to treat others with respect, kindness and compassion. Those who can't live up to this simple wish may be asked to leave Walt Disney World Resort.
Cosmic Rewind Changes
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is one of Walt Disney World's most popular attractions.
Guests must pass through 3 different preshows, reshuffling and turning back into a line. Some guests get a bit overzealous and rush, and perhaps even run and push to get from place to place. It can make for a bit of an unpleasant experience.
Due to negative Guest experiences, Disney has made several operational changes to help keep Guests safe while moving quickly throughout this attraction queue. However, the most recent Guest altercation happened even before the first preshow room.
Cosmic Rewind Altercation
In the video shared by MeluskiO on TikTok, two adult males became agitated with one another while in line for Cosmic Rewind. While it is unclear what led to this altercation, the TikTok user implies that this had been an ongoing issue while the Guests waited in the 2 hour standby queue for Cosmic Rewind.
Walt Disney World security intervened when an incident took place in the queue for Cosmic Rewind.
Thankfully, Walt Disney World security intervened before the altercation escalated further. Security sent one man toward the exit, while the other removed his shirt while still in line.
It is uncertain what led to this disturbance and what happened to both individuals. We are thankful that no Guests were injured during this incident.
