Disney World Resort Perk Will Receive a Big Upgrade
Disney just filed a permit that will bring a great upgrade to this popular Walt Disney World Resort perk.

Many Guests choose to stay at Disney Parks Resort to enjoy many great perks. They feel that the price of a Disney Resort is justified to stay inside the "Disney Bubble".

Disney has made many changes over the years to the perks offered for Disney Resort Guests.
Free Water Park Perk
One perk that greatly changed this year was the free Disney Water Park admission on check-in day. In 2025, this perk could be enjoyed for the entire year. In 2026, this is only available between May 26, 2026, and September 8, 2026,
While this perk changes even more in 2027 to only include select Walt Disney World Resorts, we have a positive change for this perk.
A new permit has been filed for one of Disney's Water Parks, Typhoon Lagoon, titled "Typhoon Lagoon Backstage Parking Lot". The description of this permit states that this is for "a new roadway leading to a fenced-in-backstage gravel parking lot at Typhoon Lagoon within Walt Disney World Resort."
Typhoon Lagoon Upgrade
While this may not be as exciting as a new attraction, this is a BIG deal for guests. Oftentimes, the parking lot quickly fills up, and Guests are redirected to park in Cast member parking or on the grass.
A new permit has now been filed to add additional parking at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon.
This new permit appears to be for a Cast Member parking lot, which could open up the current Cast Member parking lot for Guest parking. This comes with recent news that Disney's Typhoon Lagoon will be closing soon for refurbishment.
