Disney World Park Sets a Closing Date
While we are still enjoying the great perks of Cool KIDS' SUMMER, Walt Disney World makes plans to close this park. Check out the closing date just announced.
"Cool KIDS' SUMMER"
Walt Disney World is bringing the cool to "Cool KIDS' SUMMER" now through September 8, 2026.
There are special offerings at all 4 Walt Disney World Theme Parks. The best part is that the fun extends even farther this summer.
Extra magic is coming to select hotels in the Walt Disney World Resort Collection. Perks will be available at Disney's Pop Century Resort, Disney's Art of Animation Resort, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, and Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. Guests of all ages can also enjoy extra summer fun while visiting Disney Springs.
Free Water Park Perk
Guests checking in between May 26, 2026, and September 8, 2026, can enjoy free entry at either Disney's Typhoon Lagoon or Disney's Blizzard Beach.
It is important to note that this is only applicable for your arrival day. Plan ahead, as parks can reach capacity.
Guests love the opportunity to choose between the two Disney water parks, but that will be changing soon.
Typhoon Lagoon Closing Date
As the free water park perk ends on September 8, 2026, Walt Disney World now plans to close Disney's Typhoon Lagoon on September 9, 2026.
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon will close on September 9, 2026.
Refurbishment is a necessary part of running a successful theme park. After all, attractions must be kept up to date and spruced up to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for Guests.
But sometimes an entire park closes for a period of refurbishment. Disney's Typhoon Lagoon will undergo a seasonal refurbishment while Disney's Blizzard Beach remains open to Guests.
