Today, July 11, 2026, marks the 3rd consecutive day that the National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for all East Central Florida counties, which includes the Walt Disney World Resort.

The heat advisory runs until 7:00 pm tonight with a heat index up to 110°. Unfortunately, the heat wave continues, and tomorrow, July 12, 2026, is also expected to have a heat index between 105° and 109°.

Storms are forecasted for tomorrow, July 12, 2026. Guests are encouraged to use caution when enjoying outdoor activities this weekend.

Stay Hydrated

Of course, there are plenty of locations and carts to purchase water throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. This can become costly when trying to keep an entire family hydrated.

One big tip for planning a trip to Walt Disney World is to grab free cups of ice water at all quick-service dining locations.

At times, Disney will even provide water dispensers outside of quick-service dining locations for guests to enjoy. These are often available during the summer months and help decrease your waiting time in the quick-service queue.

Another great tip is to bring a reusable water bottle from home. This is a great way to refill with cups from quick-service locations or at water bottle refill stations located throughout the Walt Disney World Resort.

Tips to Stay Cool at Disney World

Disney has brought many entertainment options indoors to help combat the Florida heat. Check these out HERE.

Some of my (Donna) favorite ways to stay cool at Walt Disney World is to use a reusable cooling towel. I also discovered a trick to place ice into the folds of the towel and drape at the back of my neck.

Bringing a rechargeable cooling fan is another great relief in the Parks. You can even make your own DIY "AC in a Bottle" cooling spray. Click HERE for the full recipe along with other tips to stay cool at the Disney Parks.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Donna loved Disney from an early age. As a child, her family would joke that she lived in "Donna Land." As an adult, she enjoys planning and creating magical vacations for her family. She always brings a little faith, trust, and a little bit of Pixie Dust!
