Warning for Guests Staying at Disney's Art of Animation
Are you counting down the days until your next trip to Walt Disney World? If you have plans to stay at Disney's Art of Animation, you will want to check the BIG changes affecting this resort.
Disney Resort Refurbishments

Refurbishment sparks dread around the Disney Parks. From time to time our favorite attractions are closed for a minor or sometimes major refurbishment.
While Guests prepare for upcoming Disney vacations, much time is devoted to selecting the perfect Resort and dining locations for their trip. What Guests may not always consider are current refurbishments scheduled for their Disney Resort.
Although unwelcome, these refurbishments are needed. Typically, Disney provides advanced warnings for work so guests may choose a different resort.
Art of Animation Rooms

We shared earlier that multiple work permits had us worried for Disney's Art of Animation. Art of Animation offers a few different room options. The standard room offers a Little Mermaid room and sleeps four adults, but these would be very tight quarters for four adults.
This resort offers three different family suites that sleep up to six adults. These suites feature the following themed suites: Lion King, Finding Nemo, and Cars.
The theming is on point both on the outside and the inside of each of these buildings. While Disney's Art of Animation has undergone a few updates over the years, a large room refurbishment has not taken place since 2012, with the Little Mermaid rooms.
Art of Animation Warning

One BIG change will come to the Little Mermaid rooms. These standard rooms will receive a pull-down Murphy bed that will also double as a table when stowed. This is similar to all other Disney Value Resort rooms.
Disney's Art of Animation Resort will begin an extensive room refurbishment in the summer of 2027.
The family suites will also undergo a full refurbishment. Art of Animation will remain open during this work, which is expected to begin in the summer of 2027.
What do you think of these changes to Disney's Art of Animation? Do you prefer a pull-down Murphy bed or like the current standard room design? Share your thoughts with us and share this news with your Disney pals.
