Popular Disney World Dining Is Closing Soon
Walt Disney World is closing a very popular dining spot, but another dining location will offer select menu items. Check out this change before your next Walt Disney World trip.
Grand Floridian Refurbishment
The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is Disney's flagship resort. It is also one of the nicest and most elegant resorts on the property.
However, the Grand Floridian has been in a state of refurbishment for the last several years, affecting many of its special amenities.
The Grand Floridian lobby is going through a major refurbishment. This week, the Garden View Lounge reopened. Unfortunately, this year, the Grand Cottage did not return to the Grand Floridian for Easter.
Grand Floridian Cafe
Earlier, we shared the updated warning about the refurbishment timeline. It now reads:
"Renovations at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will continue in select areas, including the porte cochere, through early 2027. Guests may see or hear refurbishment work during daytime hours or need to take alternate paths of travel."
Disney just announced that the Grand Floridian Cafe will close mid-July and is expected to reopen in October 2026.
Citricos Brunch Service
During this closure, Citricos will offer a brunch service. View our full dining review of Citricos HERE. While Disney has confirmed that brunch will be offered, they have not confirmed exact times and menu items.
The Grand Floridian Cafe will close mid-July through October.
Currently, the Grand Floridian Cafe serves brunch from 7:30 am until 2:00 pm. The Grand Floridian Cafe brunch menu includes:
- Floridian style eggs Benedict with corn cakes, pulled pork, and poblano hollandaise $19
- Steak and eggs: 10 oz New York strip with cheesy hash brown casserole $27
- Buttermilk-fried chicken and waffle with sriracha-honey drizzle $27
- Grand Floridian Cafe signature burger with brie with bacon-pepper jam $26
- Mickey shaped malted waffle with bacon or sausage $16
- Passion fruit, guava, and orange French toast $20
- Miso-glazed salmon with lemon-scented sticky rice $31
- The Grand Breakfast: two eggs, bacon, sausage, cheesy hash brown casserole $16
