Grand Floridian Refurbishment Extended

The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is going through an extensive refurbishment. Now, the refurbishment has been extended. Find out how much longer this will go.

The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is Disney's flagship resort. It is also one of the nicest and most elegant resorts on the property.

All guests can visit this lobby, even if they are not staying at the Grand Floridian. However, the Grand Floridian has been in a state of refurbishment for the last several years, affecting many of its special amenities.

The Grand Floridian lobby is going through a major refurbishment. A new lounge, The Perch, has recently opening. Along with the Garden View Lounge reopening soon!

Refurbishment Extended

On the Disney Vacation Club website, you can find an updated warning about the refurbishment timeline. It now reads:

"Renovations at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will continue in select areas, including the porte cochere, through early 2027. Guests may see or hear refurbishment work during daytime hours or need to take alternate paths of travel."

The refurbishment at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is now extending into early 2027.

If you are planning to stay or visit Disney's Grand Floridian anytime from now through early 2027, you can expect to see and hear the construction.

Guests visiting the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa can expect to see and hear construction during the daytime hours.

Guests can also expect to take alternative walking paths around the resort along with the potential of a new car drop off area while the porte cochere is being worked on.
