Warning Issued to Guests Staying at This Magic Kingdom Resort

Cold Weather Impacts Disney World

This month has been plagued with winter weather advisories and warnings at Walt Disney World. Impacting Guests with operational changes, which include park closure and ride operations.
Wind chills are predicted to be at 7°. According to meteorologists at WESH2, "By Sunday morning, temperatures may plunge into the mid to upper 20s across much of Central Florida, creating some of the coldest weather seen in a decade."
The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Cold Watch for all of Walt Disney World starting Saturday, January 31st evening and ending the afternoon of Sunday, February 1st.
Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground

When you stay at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, you can camp next to the magic. Fort Wilderness Campground is commonly known as "The Fort." This resort is unique as you won't find any other resort like it at Disney.

Warning Issued!

Guests staying at The Fort have just been issued a warning from Disney due to the expected cold temperatures. The letter reads:
"Howdy!
Thank you for choosing Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. We are delighted to share the magic of the great outdoors with you.
This weekend, we will be experiencing record low temperatures. To help prevent damage to pipes and plumbing fixtures, please leave one faucet on a slow steady drip from 10:00pm Saturday to 10:00am Sunday and 10:00pm Sunday to 10:00am Monday.
Should you have any questions, or need additional assistance, our Front Desk Cast Members will be happy to assist you. Please call our Front Desk at 407-824-2727 for assistance."
Guests at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground are being asked to leave one faucet on a slow drip due to cold temperatures.
Fort Wilderness Guests should be prepared and take the necessary precautions for the cold temperatures that are expected this weekend.
