Last year, Universal Studios said goodbye to Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit. The beloved old coaster made its last run in August.

Since then, there has been much speculation and wishful thinking for what would replace it. Today, Universal Orlando Resort announced that a new Fast & Furious coaster will take over the space!

Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift will put riders in the driver's seat of the high-speed thrills of Universal Pictures' Fast & Furious universe like never before. Riders will experience the exhilarating sensation of 360-degree drifting as they speed through jaw-dropping maneuvers - including a 170-foot vertical "spike" that will send riders nearly 17 stories in the air.

Universal Studios Hollywood is also opening its own, one-of-a-kind Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift outdoor roller coaster later this year. You can read about it HERE.
