Disney Cracks Down on PhotoPass Sharing
Disney World is cracking down on PhotoPass sharing. Find out what you need to know.
Recent Changes to runDisney PhotoPass

Unlike PhotoPass in the parks where PhotoPass photographers use a card or your MagicBand to link your photos, for runDisney events PhotoPass uses an athlete's bib number. Last February, runDisney changed the way that athletes linked their race bibs to their PhotoPass.
Each athlete now gets a unique code to link their runDisney photos to their Disney account.
In previous events, athletes would get a generic code which they then added their bib number to the end to receive their race photos. Now, Athletes were given a specific individual code to link to their account. This unique code can be found in each athlete's Check-In Pass.

Number of PhotoPass IDs Allowed per Race Weekend

runDisney has once again changed the PhotoPass guidelines. Athletes can now link up to a maximum of 10 runDisney PhotoPass IDs for each race weekend. This was previously 5 PhotoPass IDs per race weekend.
If you are running in multiple events throughout a race weekend, you may have multiple runDisney PhotoPass IDs,
Cracking Down on PhotoPass Sharing

The wording for sharing your PhotoPass photos is now very clear. It now states, "Photo Content, Disney PhotoPass Service, Memory Maker, Qualifying Annual Pass Downloads Benefits, Lightning Lane Multi Pass, and all other Disney PhotoPass products are intended for your personal use only."
Guests violating this rule could face serious consequences. It goes on to state,
"Downloading or unlocking, or offering to download or unlock, Photo Content for the benefit of other Guests, whether or not you solicit or accept any consideration or remuneration for such Photo Content, is a violation of these Terms and Condition and the limited license granted to you. Violations may result in removal of all images associated with your account and termination of your Disney account. We receive the right in our sole discretion, including based on usage patterns, to conclude that you are in violation of these Terms and Conditions."
It was not uncommon to see athletes offering to download race photos for others for a price. Sometimes this cost would help the athlete reach fundraising goals for a charity they are running for or even to offset the cost. Disney has now made the wording clear that this will no longer be allowed and anyone breaking the Terms and Conditions could face termination of their Disney account.
