All this has happened before, and it will all happen again. But this time, it happened in EPCOT!

Like any theme park, Walt Disney World experiences its fair share of ride disruptions. Now and then, Disney Guests have to be evacuated from rides for safety.

Although many people love Living with the Land, EPCOT's slow, educational boat ride through the Land Pavilion, there are those who would describe it as one of Disney World's least exciting rides. But, recently, excitement flooded Living with the Land!

Guests riding on Living with the Land reported being alarmed when their boat started taking on water! Guests on the boat claimed they felt the boat hit what seemed like a pothole.

The front of the boat began taking on multiple inches of water and sinking downward. Of course, many Disney fans know the boat wouldn't have had far to sink. However, it would certainly be unsettling to be sitting in that much water, especially for someone who has never been on the ride. The guests reportedly made the executive decision to jump off the boat and stand on the side.

The Guests in the boat attached behind them reported that once the boat began to sink, the Guests who were aboard it began to hop off. Afterward, they were all evacuated by Cast Members.

We were on the ride Living with the Land at Epcot yesterday and it felt like we hit a pot hole but we know it's on a track in the water. So as we kept going the water up front kept coming in apparently a lot. We were in the back but they loaded the boat heavily upfront we had two rows of empty seats behind us. One of the people in the front was a man who was probably 6.5" we all think it was loaded unevenly. But back to what happened. The people in the second row had about 4 inches of water they were moving there stuff around and it altered us and we could see that the front was so far down/listing…we knew something was wrong so we tried to move to the back of the boat to counter balance it. That didn't work things started to shift and the boat, because it's still being moved by the track, started to tilt pretty abruptly and we all felt scared and jumped off of it. Nobody was hurt just scared and wet thank goodness! @MichelleWalksDisney

There is no official statement from Disney regarding the incident. However, there is a video and commentary from one of the Guests who reported being aboard the sinking boat (@finleyfamily on TikTok). You can see the front sloshing with water.

Several other social media users claiming to be on or behind the boat confirmed the story as well. We are thankful no one has reported being injured.

This isn't the first time Living with the Land made headlines. You can find more surprisingly exciting tales from Living with the Land HERE and HERE. It also isn't the first time a Disney boat ride took on water. You can read about another wet-n-wild story HERE.
