Another Magic Kingdom Resort Lobby is Set For Refurbishment

Disney will be refurbishing another Magic Kingdom Resort lobby soon. Find out which lobby is next.

Refurbishments are a necessity to keep things updated and running smoothly. Disney will do refurbishments on everything, including restaurants, attractions, hotel rooms, shops, and even hotel lobbies.

Guests will see and hear construction when refurbishments are happening. Disney does its best to notify Guests of any planned refurbishments.

Disney has recently been refurbishing lobbies around Walt Disney World Resort. One of the most notable refurbishments is the Grand Floridian's lobby. This lobby is receiving an extensive multi-month refurbishment. The Grand Staircase just reopened to Guests last week. See the refresh HERE.

Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground (commonly known as The Fort) will be getting a lobby refurbishment soon. The refurbishment is set to start in early October and last through early November 2025.

Typically, the lobby refurbishments have included new furnishings along with a refresh to the lobby. This is done to modernize the check-in experience for the Guests.

What Does This Mean For You?

Guests may hear or see construction around the Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground's lobby. The check-in area may be temporarily relocated. There will be signage and Cast Members to help navigate during this refurbishment. This refurbishment is happening during a very busy time at The Fort.

The Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground's check-in area may be temporarily relocated to a modified space.

The Fort is typically SOLD OUT for the dates surrounding Halloween, and Guests are not allowed to modify these reservations (dates, number of Guests, or Guest's names). During this time, The Fort typically restricts access to non-resort Guests (unless they have a dining reservation).
