A BIG Reveal Has Just Happened at This Disney Deluxe Hotel
Extensive construction work has been ongoing for months at this Disney Deluxe Hotel, which has greatly impacted Guests. Check out this big reveal and how it is now improving the Guests' experience!
Grand Floridian Lobby

The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is Disney's flagship resort. It is also one of the nicest and most elegant resorts on the property.
Anyone can visit this lobby, even if they are not staying at the Grand Floridian. However, the Grand Floridian has been in a state of refurbishment for the last several years, affecting many of its special amenities.
Currently, the Grand Floridian lobby is going through a major refurbishment. One of the most notable changes is the addition of the Grand Floridian Lobby Bar.
Lobby Refurbishment

On my (Heather's) most recent visit, the lobby was still a massive construction zone. White curtains remained up, blocking the view of construction from the Guests. However, this did not limit any of the noise that was caused by the construction. Check out that update HERE.
During the Grand Staircase construction, Guests must take the elevator or use the small staircase at the far end of the lobby.

With this construction, one of the key details of the Grand Floridian Lobby, the Grand Staircase, had been closed off to Guests for weeks! The Grand Staircase had white curtains blocking the scaffolding, along with construction walls completely blocking access to Guests.
Grand Staircase Reopens!

After over a month of the Grand Staircase being closed, yesterday it FINALLY reopened to Guests. Check out the photos that @MikeRoda shared on X.
The Grand Floridian's Grand Staircase has reopened to Guests after being closed for over a month.
The staircase now features new carpeting along with a new mural featuring the Grand Floridian and the Seven Seas Lagoon. The carpet has a beautiful floral pattern, which offers a new, refreshed look!
I love this staircase at The Grand Floridian, and the new update was worth the wait!
What do you think of the update? Have you visited during the construction? Do you think the rest of the lobby will be worth the wait? Let us know in the comments below, and be sure to share this post with your friends!
