Florida has been hit pretty hard this year with record low temperatures in January, a fog advisory, and even major disruptions at the Orlando International Airport.
Disney World Weather Warning
Many guests are well aware that the summers at Walt Disney World can be hot. This may be why summer is the cheapest time to visit Walt Disney World, but now an extreme heat wave is affecting the park for several days in a row.
Today, August 14, 2025, the National Weather Service issued an Extreme Heat Warning for the greater Orlando area (Volusia, Lake, Seminole, Orange, and Osceola Counties), which includes the entire Walt Disney World Resort.
Dangerous heat is expected beginning 8:19 am until 7:00 pm (EDT). The heat index will feel like 105° to 109°. The National Weather Service suggests staying hydrated, wearing light clothing, and staying in air conditioning.
