New Phase for Magic Kingdom Expansion
Disney is now in the next phase " for the largest expansion in history at Magic Kingdom." What do you think of so many changes happening all at once at Walt Disney World?
Walt Disney World Changes

As Walt Disney once said, "We keep moving forward," and that is very true at Walt Disney World. At Disney's Animal Kingdom, DinoLand USA will soon become extinct to make way for a new experience with Tropical Americas.
The layout of Disney's Hollywood Studios also changed with the closing of the Muppet Courtyard in early June to make room for a new Monsters Inc. Land.
In this newly imagined land, guests can stroll along the streets of Monstropolis among their favorite "scarers". Many Disney fans love adding new attractions, but many fans miss these older, nostalgic attractions.
Rivers of America

July 6th was the final day to enjoy both Tom Sawyer Island and the Liberty Square Riverboat. The following day, the Rivers of America were removed from both the My Disney Experience app and park maps.
Construction walls are in place along the standby queue for the Haunted Mansion and along the Rivers of America. Although walls are up, the bridge that runs along Frontierland is still open to guests.
For over a month, guests noticed that the water levels at the Rivers of America have slowly lowered, but today there is a significant change to the water levels as it appears the waters are now being drained as the track is now exposed that previously guided the Liberty Square Riverboat.
How this may affect your trip

The draining of the Rivers of America appaears to be the next phase of this large expansion. The current work will be to make way for the Piston Peak National Park.
Current work is taking place to drain the Rivers of America
During this expansion the Walt Disney World Railroad Frontierland station is also blocked by construction walls. Thankfully, you can still enjoy a ride along the Walt Disney World Railroad, but with a "shuttle mode" change with our favorite alien, Stitch.

Expansion is hardly a term fitting the rebrands to internal IP.
Would something becoming larger, have another moniker ?
Expansion is attached to value. And with less offered in the parks, but priced the same, will the opening of replacement attractions be cause to "enhance capitol revenue upward". In the form of a price increase when replacement attractions arrive.
NOW THAT IS AN EXPANSION !
I am happy that Disney is investing in the parks, even though there are a few projects I do not support. I am disappointed that Disney has taken entirely too long to initiate these maintenance and refurbishment projects, such that many changes are now needed all at once. For my family, this places serious doubt on the value of visiting WDW in 2025 and possibly 2026, given the exorbitantly high cost of WDW park tickets and so many attractions closed.
Well , I can't say until I see it. But, I don't like change. That's just me
