No one likes to hear that a refurbishment will be taking place in a theme park during their visit. This is especially true if it is for an attraction that you and your travel party have on your must-do list.

However, refurbishments are necessary to keep the attractions maintained and safe for everyone. After all, safety needs to be a priority in order for everyone to have fun.

It also makes parkgoers weary because a closure of one attraction can mean an increase in other wait times across the park since there are fewer places to go. Plus, another ride refurbishment will also take place during this time.

Refurbishment #1: E.T. Adventure

E.T. Adventure is a delightful ride in Hollywood. The premise is that E.T.’s home planet is dying and he needs our help to save it.

Hop on a flying bike with E.T. and soar on a gentle ride through various scenes and help save his planet!

E.T. Adventure will be closed for a short time in May 2024. From May 6 to May 15, the ride will be closed for refurbishment. Thankfully, this is not a long closure but be aware that schedule changes may occur.

Refurbishment #2: Revenge of the Mummy

Revenge of the Mummy, located in New York, is one of the more thrilling attractions in Universal Studios Florida. Fight through fireballs, beetles, and mummies as you are taken through scenes of the film franchise.

Revenge of the Mummy will be closed in June 2024, from June 17 to June 22. Like E.T. Adventure, if you plan to travel in June check the website for any schedule changes.
