Disney opened Riviera Resort in December of 2019 as the newest deluxe resort and Disney Vacation Club accommodation. When Disney finishes the cabin overhaul at Fort Wilderness, Riviera will no longer be the newest!

Planned Outage
A power outage is now scheduled for Friday, March 22, 2024 at Disney’s Riviera Resort. Guests staying at this resort are notified of this outage.
The outage willtake place between the hours of 12:00 am and 3:00 am. During this time, work will be conducted that will temporarily affect electrical power in Guest rooms.
While this can be a disappointment, thankfully the outage will take place when Guests need electricity the most.
How Does This Affect You?
This can certainly cause issues if you return to your room late at night or if you wake early to get ready to return to the airport. Be sure to speak with a Cast Member if you have medical equipment or other needs that require electricity.

This six it happened to us at AKL with no warning we get back to the room aboutv11pm, it our arrival day so we had now been up about 24 hours, we had to shower in the dark , ir t was too hot in the room to sleep, could not even open the patio door for hair because of the savanna and the smell, could not charge out now dead phones.Had to get up and get ready for the day in the dark, and all we got was sorry.
