With the expansion of the France Pavilion at Epcot, there are now quite a few dining options to enjoy in this pavilion. How does one choose where to eat? I had a fantastic experience at Chefs de France, so let me persuade you to try it as well!

Dining Options in the France Pavilion

It’s impossible to miss EPCOT’s France Pavilion. Look up to see a model of the Eiffel Tower and look to the side to see a gorgeous flowing fountain. In France, the Eiffel Tower serves as a beacon of light for those entering France.

There are several dining options in the France Pavilion – from an alcoholic beverage kiosk to signature dining with a dress code and everything in between.

Les Vins des Chefs de France is a small kiosk that serves adult beverages. Just a few steps away is the outdoor kiosk that serves seasonal dishes during the festivals. Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie serves up delicious bakery items and should be a must-do at least once!

Nearby, you can satisfy those taste buds with artisanal French frozen treats. See why we love it so much HERE. In the back of the pavilion near Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, you will find a table-service restaurant called La Creperie de Paris as well as a quick-service kiosk called Crepes A Emporter by La Creperie de Paris.

Monsieur Paul is a signature dining experience that features a $195 prix fixe menu. But, if you are looking for a less formal French dining experience, I would love to suggest Chefs de France.

This charming location transforms guests into a French brasserie with its wall of windows looking out toward the France Pavilion. Who can resist those gorgeous windows?

The table service location features creative French cuisine with simple ingredient combinations that highlight fresh flavors. You have two options here. One, you can order a Prix Fixe meal for $65.95. It includes one Appetizer, Entrée, and Dessert. Just be aware that the Prix Fixe menu is a bit smaller than the regular menu. Guests ordering the prix fix meal also choose a glass of wine, soda, iced tea, coffee, or tea.

Second, you can order off the regular menu a la carte. Appetizers include Escargot, French Onion Soup, and more. French entrees on the menu are very diverse, pleasing all the different taste palates your party may have.

  • Salmon
  • Pork Shank
  • Ratatouille
  • Baked Macaroni
  • Rotisserie Chicken
  • Braised Beef
  • Grilled Beef
  • Charcuterie

Finish off your meal with Creme Brûlée, Coffee Sponge Cake, Citrus Cake, or other desserts. Being that it is a French restaurant, there is an extensive list of wines and other alcoholic beverages.

The kids’ menu is simple, which I (Monica) appreciate as kids don’t typically have the same food preferences as adult. Children can choose from grilled chicken, steak, or salmon.

Food Review

During my visit to Chefs de France, my table started with the complimentary fresh baked bread. This was a perfect baguette with a crunchy outside and soft inside. I do wish the butter had been a little softer as it was a bit hard to spread.

I was tempted to try the French Onion Soup, but I tend to eat a lot of French Onion Soup at Disney, so I decided to forgo it. Instead, I decided to save my appetite for the Grilled Beef entree, which is served with green peppercorn sauce, potato gratin, and green beans. The steak was fantastic – perfectly cooked and so tender. The peppercorn sauce and sides complemented the main dish.

My daughter really wanted to try salmon for the first time, but I was very concerned she would not like it. The server and manager reassured me if she did not like it, she could order something else.

Spoiler alert: she did not like it. I sampled it for “research” before they brought out grilled chicken. The salmon was fresh and tender, and I am confident if your youngest park goers like salmon they would love this dish. The grilled chicken was more in line with what she enjoys at home.

Impeccable Service

Not only was the food wonderful, but the service was incredible as well. From the very beginning of our experience at Chefs de France, we were taken care of. Our server was very attentive, and he made sure to go over the menu with us. Service was fast, and the food came out in a timely manner. Our total dining experience was just under one hour.

When I expressed concerns about the salmon, the server was quick to have the manager come to the table to speak with me. Like I mentioned above, the manager was reassured me my daughter could order another entree if she did not like the salmon.

This is the Disney-level of service I know and love. I really appreciated that they did this for me so my daughter could try something new and still have an enjoyable experience.

Theming and Atmosphere

Now, I do not have a ton of experience with French culture as I have never been to France. But, what I saw in Chefs de France feels pretty authentic based off what I have seen in movies and documentaries.

The interior felt informal yet exquisite. I guess that is just the French way of life, right? The ceilings are high, and the floor is made of mosaic tile in some areas and carpet in others. But, I did not feel out of place in my park clothing. I think for many Guests, Chefs de France strikes the perfect balance of finer dining and a cafe-style atmosphere.

Unfortunately, there is no outdoor seating at Chefs de France, so it may not feel 100% Parisian cafe authentic. If you want that experience, you may request to be seated near the windows. The carpeted area of the restaurant has a completely different vibe from the other section by the windows. It almost feels like two separate restaurants. This would be my only complaint about my experience at Chefs de France.

Be sure you take a look around the restaurant as well. The portraits on the wall feature the renowned chefs who were involved in Chefs de France. This is a special touch that pays homage to the history of Epcot and Chefs de France.

Eating at Chefs de France has been one of my better experiences with World Showcase dining. I hope you will give it a try during your next visit. Share your experience with us in the comments below, and pass this review along to someone who is considering booking this restaurant.

I have never been disappointed at Les Chefs de France. You mentioned in the article that you skipped the French onion soup, but allow me to suggest not skipping it. The flavors in the French onion soup from Les Chefs de France are balanced perfectly and their soup is never too salty, which you sometimes find elsewhere, when the chef fails to account for the salt in the cheese on top of the soup. Mistakes like that are NEVER made at Chefs de France.

Such great advice! I will definitely try it the next time I visit.
