We love menu updates. We are especially excited to see some favorites return to one Magic Kingdom restaurant.

Dining in the Magic Kingdom

The Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World is truly an amazing place to visit where magic awaits around just about every corner. However, as lovely as it is, The Magic Kingdom is not known for having the best affordable sit-down dining options. The snacks are truly the star of the snow here.

In fact, you may have noticed that many of the table service options are Prixe-fixe menus, buffets, or all you care to enjoy dining. There is certainly a time and place for these types of meals. But, sometimes you just want to reserve a table somewhere a little simpler and more affordable.

The Plaza Restaurant

This is why it is so great that Walt Disney World recently updated the menu at The Plaza Restaurant. Located on Main Street, this charming restaurant offers castle-view dining.

Better yet, it is one of the only table service options in the Magic Kingdom where you can order food a la carte and share plates if you want to. The others are Tony’s and Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen. Plaza is arguably the best option for a party that has picky eaters, and it may have just gotten even better.

Menu Updates

As I was saying, the menu at the Plaza Restaurant recently received some updates. It is not unusual for the Plaza menu to change. However, sometimes when it changes, we see very popular items vanish. We are happy to report that some of the items Disney food fans have been missing have returned. So, while not all of these items are necessarily new, they are indeed welcome!

Here are some dishes that may have been added to the menu since you last visited (unless you are a frequent traveler, or course). Right now, updated entree choices include:

• Crab Cake Sandwich
• Chef’s Salad
• Chicken Waldorn Salad
• Bacon Cheese Burger
• Triple Decker Turkey Club Sandwich

And, desserts are extra exciting. You can try:

• Specialty Milkshakes: Chocolate Pecan Brownie, Strawberry Shortcake, and Key Lime
• Chocolate Layer Cake with caramel popcorn mousse
• Cotton Candy Cheesecake with fresh berries

And, of course, that’s not all. There are plenty of other familiar items on the menu. For example, the Plaza Loaded Fries are still there!

We are very excited to see that Triple-decker Turkey Club return. You can read about it and other menu items HERE.

However, some fans will be sad to see the removal of The Plaza Reuben. Also, If you were here looking for the ever-popular and delicious Monte Cristo, it is not back YET. We are hoping it shows up in time for Christmas in the Magic Kingdom, as it did once before. You can read about this magical dish right HERE.
