A new Fantasmic! cookie hit Disney’s Hollywood Studios recently. Should you order this adorable treat on our next visit?

The news waves have been set ablaze with talk about Fantasmic!, and rightfully so. On Saturday, Disney’s iconic Maleficent Dragon went up in blaze during one performance. However, we have some lighter Fantasmic! talk for you amidst all the hot stories. Earlier this month, a new Fantasmic! cookie dropped in at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World! Here is a review of this magical treat to help you decide whether to order it or save your Disney dessert intake allotment and your Disney funds for something else.
The Fantasmic! Peanut Butter Cookie Sandwich
Right now, you can enjoy a fun Fantasmic!-themed Peanut Butter Cookie Sandwich at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. If you love Fantasmic!, this is the perfect treat to enjoy to build up hype for the show!
The menu describes the cookie sandwich as a pretzel shortbread cookie sandwich filled with strawberry jam and peanut butter chocolate fudge. It is topped with a Fantasmic! chocolate piece.
Where to Find The Cookie
This little treat is on the menu at Rosie’s All-American Cafe on Sunset Boulevard. It is available on the traditional menu and via mobile order.
The cookie is priced at $5.29. However, that price point might fluctuate seasonally, as is the case with all things Disney.
Review
So, is the cookie worth the cost? Here are some things to consider.
For one thing, while the cookie has pretzel in the description, I did not get any notes of pretzel flavor at all. In fact, I didn’t even realize it had a pretzel element until I went back and checked the description for this review.
The cookie pieces have the dry consistency that is typical of shortbread. The shortbread is a bit crumbly and didn’t have a ton of flavor. It was my least favorite component of the cookie.
The strawberry jam and chocolate peanut butter fudge are quite delicious and pair well together. They are easily the strongest part of the cookie.
The chocolate piece on top is printed with food dye to create the Fantasmic! image. The dye can transfer to your skin, teeth, clothes, etc. So, eat carefully if you do not want to clean it off of yourself. The chocolate went well with the rest of the cookie, but it is just as enjoyable without it.
Is it the cutest dessert offering Disney’s Hollywood Studios has to offer right now? Absolutely! Is it the best dessert ever? It is not. There are better Hollywood Studios snack options out there. Overall, the Peanut Butter Cookie Sandwich is good enough, but it is not something I will dream of, and I will not order it again. Even so, if you want something cute and fun to enjoy before, during, or after Fantasmic!, it doesn’t get much more festive than this!
