Universal Orlando is a fun place to visit. However, if you are heading there this week, prepare yourself for one of the most beloved attractions of all to be closed.
Ride Closures at Universal Orlando

There are several truths about refurbishment. One is that it is necessary for theme parks to refurbish their attractions. It keeps everything looking great and running to its best potential.
Moreover, it ensures that the attractions are safe for visitors who want to experience them. After all, no one can have a great time if they are worried that an attraction could jeopardize their safety.
Another truth is that, even though they are necessary, refurbishments can be extremely disappointing. This is especially true if you have a once-in-a-lifetime trip coming up and one of the attractions you really wanted to enjoy is down.
E.T. Adventure

Right now, one of Universal’s most beloved attractions is closed for maintenance. E.T. Adventure closed on Monday, June 9, 2025.
This family-friendly ride is one of the few attractions that is original to Universal Studios Orlando. It is a quintessential part of any visit ot Universal.
But don’t worry. E.T. Adventure is also one of the attractions you can count on always being around at Universal Studios Orlando. And, this closure will be short-lived.
When will E.T. Adventure Reopen

This is a very short refurbishment. It is scheduled to last only from June 9-13, 2025. If all goes according to plan, you should be able to visit E.T. and his family again by June 14, 2025.
E.T. Adventure will be closed from June 9-13 for refurbishment.
We can’t wait to see what fun awaits when the ride is up and running again. Hopefully, you will be able to enjoy it on your next visit to Universal Orlando.
And, remember to check out Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit while you still can. Its permanent closing date has been set. See it HERE.
