New things are happening at Disney starting today. One glitch may actually be great for Guests.
New Complimentary Offer
Walt Disney World introduced the Disney Genie+ back in October 2021. This is a one-day fee add-on where you can access even more attractions with shorter wait times. The price of Disney Genie+ varies daily and is subject to availability.

Starting today, Guests who purchase Genie+ can get complimentary PhotoPass pictures on rides they have enjoyed! Guests feel this add on is an even better value!
Guests purchasing Disney Genie+ will receive digital downloads of their Disney Photopass attraction photos at no extra charge!
These include attractions like Space Mountain, Slinky Dog Dash, Test Track, and more. You can read more about it HERE.
New Glitch
In what appears to be a glitch, some past Guests have reported being able to download attraction photos for free! These Guests are reporting that they were there in the past several weeks and had purchased Genie+. Their photos are now available to download without the water mark.
Guests over the last few weeks, who have purchased Genie+ report being able to download their attraction photos without the watermark.
Although this glitch may not last for long, but the addition of attraction photos is a great perk to those who purchase Genie+ going forward.

I don’t believe this is a glitch at all. Disney announced in late February that they would be including attraction photo pass photos for guests that purchase Genie plus to begin on March 20.

The glitch is that past guests who have purchased genie+ are able to get their photos (not just guests purchasing today and going forward).

It does bring down the value of memory maker, but if you don’t purchase memory maker you can still get your ride photos with genie+.
