Want to enjoy delicious food from our favorite culinary Disney princess? You will not want to miss out on the progress of Tiana’s first dining location in the Parks.
Splash Mountain Retheme
Back in June 2020, Disney announced that a major reimagining of Splash Mountain would happen. This attraction, based on the controversial 1946 film “Song Of the South,” has been a fan favorite since it debuted in 1989.
The attraction will begin where the film leaves off; with the final kiss. We’ll join Princess Tiana and her trumpet-playing alligator friend Louis “on a musical adventure.”
Splash Mountain is set to close very soon and the real work will begin for the transformation of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Disney plans to open the attraction in 2024. You can take a look at the 3D model of the attraction and details about the new Tiana restaurant.
Disneyland is preparing for a big Princess and the Frog expansion. Back in September 2022, a brand new shopping location, Eudora’s Chic Boutique Featuring Tiana’s Gourmet Secrets, welcomed guests. Check out the great assortment of merchandise available at this location HERE.
At Disneyland park, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be in New Orleans Square, which allows for the opportunity to tell even more Tiana stories.
In addition, she is getting a restaurant in a Disney Park, too. Tiana is also getting her very own Disneyland restaurant called Tiana’s Palace. It will be located in New Orleans Square and will entail a reimagining of one of the current spaces of the French Market Restaraunt.
The French Market Restaurant and Mint Julep will close its doors on February 16, 2023, to guests. At this time, Disney shares that Tiana’s Palace will open later this year (along with Mint Julep), but an official opening date is not yet set.
Unfortunately, this will not offer character dining as we hoped for. This will simply be a quick service dining location. We can’t wait to see the great culinary dishes that this new location will serve up.
