Walt Disney World introduced the Disney Genie+ back in October 2021. This is a one-day fee add-on where you can access even more attractions with shorter wait times. The price of Disney Genie+ varies daily and is subject to availability.

  1. I Gree with Sue McCabe. I was horrified at how much I had to use my phone for even basic rides……and everything I selected something to put on my tip board…..even if I didn’t need the Genie I ended up buying g a genie. Much preferred fast pass.
We found ourselves either trapped at a park cause the rides we wanted you couldn’t get until 5 but couldn’t hop to another park until 2.

  2. Hate Genie+!!! Go back to fast passes even at the $15. Hate living on my phone while on vacation. You don’t spend your time and attention with family as on the phone all the time.
I’d rather pick pictures I want and have my day planned. Hate getting up at 7am to purchase. Takes the enjoyment from the parks and we have cut our trips because of Genie+, terrible crowding in the parks and all the higher costs for tickets, food, etc. give me the good old Disney!

  3. So if they’re giving us the photo pass downloads from attractions if we purchase Genie +, shouldn’t they lower the cost of Memory Maker?

  4. Here is a better option scrap the fee system. Turn it to free (while I still don’t want to be using my phone on vacation, it is all we have right now) and truly limit the number Genie + passes for each attraction. For the lightening lane make that one for people staying on property at no charge. Just an idea.

  5. We are from the U K and DVC members and annual pass holders . We come for long stays (last year 4 weeks) this year 3 weeks. We come for a long trip as our flights are at least $800 each ! so we can’t afford genie + nor the excessive food costs we found last year ! Last year we ate our sandwiches in the park instead of enjoying meals . Sadly this year will be our last trip as DVC members as our former annual trip will now be every be every 3-4 years we will be selling our DVC on our return . Cost of passes , food, no free fastpass , no magical express it’s just too much for normal families. A very sad time for Disney lovers everywhere .
