With over 30 Disney World resorts, there are a lot of parking spaces for Guests to park their cars. Disney charges a nightly fee for Guests who drive to Disney World. Currently, parking is $15/night at value resorts, $20/night at moderate resorts, and $25/night at deluxe resorts. Guests who are staying at DVC resorts with points can park their vehicles for free.

Additionally, valet service is an option and costs $33/night. Right now that is only for disabled Guests with a valid disability parking permit. According to the Disney World website, Disney will reintroduce valet parking for all Guests in the coming months.

Over the busy Christmas holiday, guests saw a new policy in place with a new parking rule at Disney Resorts for guests with dining reservations.

Big Change for Parking Fees

The parking fees were not received well by guests who were already paying high prices for Disney Resorts. In November, the Walt Disney Company underwent a big shakeup with the previous CEO, Bob Iger, returning.

When he returned to his previous role, he commented that he was alarmed by the high price increases that now affect guests in the Disney Parks. Perhaps, we now see a change (or at least a pause) in the price increases.

Starting today, January 10, 2023, Disney World Resort guests will receive complimentary self-parking. This is absolutely great news for guests currently at the parks and those with upcoming trips.

I would like to be able to parkhop whenever I wish, like we used too. Or at least earlier than 2pm.

Great move, Disney. As a DVC member, the $25 parking fee was totally out of sync with the “welcome home” theme they try to promote.

It is about time that Bob Iger starts getting things in order to help alleviate the costs. The higher fees and additional fees are a short-term money maker however the Disney company should be looking at the Longterm for sustaining their business model. As we are starting to see a decrease in attendance and usage of the resorts due to the high prices the extra, they made in those extra charges do not make up for the loss of attendance. So, If I have to pay $25 a night to park at the resorts at 200+dollars per night with no real advantage to staying there like early or late hours and other perks then why not stay off site for $100 per night and only go to the parks a couple of days and spend my money off site for less expensive food and other things. Istead of maybe spending 7 days at the resort where I would be spending a lot more money on Disney stuff. This past business plan under Chapek is and never will be sustainable for a business-like Disney.
