We are so excited that this Disney Princess is now greeting guests at Walt Disney World for the first time ever. Check out her debut and also some unbelievably rare characters, too.
Characters Galore
Part of what makes a Disney vacation so magical is interacting with your favorite characters. Princesses, The Fab 5, Pixar characters, and more come to life in theme parks and resorts. It is such a magical experience to be surprised as a princess is simply wandering through Fantasyland or you see Mickey and his pals at your resort lobby.
Yesterday, at Walt Disney World guests met with a few rare characters and even Mirabel from Encanto. Read more about this HERE. This morning, the newest Disney Princess, Raya, made her Walt Disney World debut.
Check out these Characters
This weekend, Disney runners are racing through the Walt Disney World Resort running the most magical miles on earth. This started off with great characters returning to the runDisney Expo and great characters along the 5K racecourse yesterday.
Today, runDisney participants for the 10K enjoyed a few rare characters along the race course. Mushu, from the animated film Mulan, always delivers such a fun character interaction. He is a pretty rare character interaction, and we wish we could see him more in the parks.
Next up is an extremely rare character from Fantasia. Hyacinth Hippo is usually spotted in the Easter Day parade and in the past, she appeared in the Spectromagic parade. It is great to see her out greeting guests for this event.
Of course, it all started with a mouse. Today Mickey Mouse traded in his bull-fighter suit from yesterday. He looks ready to hang 10 in his cool Hawaiin shirt.
Minnie Mouse is stunning as always. She greeted guests both before and after the 10K this morning. These characters were joined by many others throughout the race course. The biggest surprise is the debut of Raya at this event.
Raya’s Debut
In January 2022, Raya from Raya and the Last Dragon made her debut at Disneyland in honor of the Lunar New Year celebrations. Many Walt Disney World guests hoped that she would also appear at Walt Disney World. Today, Raya made her debut at Walt Disney World.
Raya greeted runners both before and after the race this morning. I (Donna) had the opportunity to meet Raya at Disneyland and she delivers a phenomenal interaction. We hope that she may find a permanent location to meet guests at Walt Disney World soon.
