Howdy, partners! Are you ready for some good old fashioned BBQ food at Disney’s Hollywood Studios? See the latest progress for this new restaurant.
Toy Story Land Expands
Toy Story Land has been undergoing some changes this year. Among the few changes has been additional seating being added to Woody’s Lunchbox. The quick-service eatery serves totchos, grilled cheese and soup, and BBQ brisket sandwiches! It’s one of my (Maggie) favorite spots to eat.
At the current time, it is also the ONLY dining location in Toy Story Land. We have also seen the addition of Jessie’s Trading Post. All of these changes have been welcome additions, but we are ready for more!
Roundup Rodeo BBQ
Earlier this year, we were so excited to announce that Disney is planning to build a brand new table service restaurant in Toy Story Land, called Roundup Rodeo BBQ. You can read more about the announcement HERE.
Disney shared the following details about the new addition:
“Once inside, you’ll be surrounded by all of the rodeo festivities in-action as well as western town and train station play sets. And you just might spot some of your favorite Disney•Pixar characters scattered throughout the restaurant in the form of toys and game pieces including a toy version of Jessie riding on the back of a Trixie pull-toy and unique toy versions of Bo Peep and her sheep, all who appear to be performing in the rodeo together.”
Guests will be immersed in a fun environment that includes toys, games and playsets.
During Disney’s D23 Expo, we were hoping to find out an opening date for the restaurant, but it was one of the few updates that were missing from all of the exciting news. So far, all we know is that it is expected to open in springtime of 2023.
See the latest progress being made for Roundup Rodeo BBQ!
You can now see the addition of scaffolding and the beginning work on the entry area steel. No scrim is covering the progress yet.
It seems like work is well underway and we cannot wait to see how the restaurant looks once it opens!
