Lightyear
Based on the origins of Buzz Lightyear, the actual hero not the toy, Lightyear reveals how a young pilot became the Space Ranger we know and love. Disney describes the film as “a sci-fi action adventure and the definitive origin story of Buzz Lightyear, the hero who inspired the toy, “Lightyear” follows the legendary Space Ranger on an intergalactic adventure alongside a group of ambitious recruits and his robot companion Sox.”
Lightyear launches into theaters June 17, 2022.
Captain America star Chris Evans will voice “the original Buzz Lightyear”. We have shared a couple of trailers of the film already. You can see those HERE and HERE.
I (Maggie) am not sure about you, but as a fan of the Toy Story franchise, I am really looking forward to seeing this!
Sneak Peek
Beginning this Friday, May 20th, guests visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort can get an early look at scenes from Disney and Pixar’s newest sci-fi adventure, “Lightyear” at the Walt Disney Presents attraction.
Chris Evans, who lends his voice to the film shared this message today.
Other sneak peeks of the film are also scheduled to arrive to Disneyland Paris and on board Disney Cruise Line, so be sure to keep an eye out for those!
