Limited Edition Collection
At the end of 2021, shopDisney teased us with a new collection coming for 2022 featuring our favorite pal, Mickey Mouse. Many were excited to learn that this collection would feature the same attractions as those in the Minnie Mouse Main Attraction Collection in 2020. The first series in this collection featured items from Space Mountain. In this collection, shoppers can choose from a Mickey plush, key, ears, and pin. However, it did not make its official debut over here in the U.S. until March 14th! Then, we had an entire month to wait until we finally saw the collection on shopDisney just a couple of weeks ago.
In the past these collections were released each month, Disney has since changed this. Now, these collections are released in a series rather than designated for each month.
Pirates of the Caribbean
“Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Pirate’s Life for Me!” Are you excited about the 2nd Series of the Mickey Mouse Main Attraction? This collection will include ears, a collectible key, Mickey plush, a pin, and Loungefly.
Last Friday, we shared that this collection would be available on shopDisney on May 6th at 7 am PT.
Guests visiting the Magic Kingdom will not have to wait quite that long to purchase items from this collection. Today, the Pirates of the Caribbean series merchandise are available at both the Emporium on Main Street and at the gift store at Pirates of the Caribbean. This is an amazing benefit to those Guests visiting Walt Disney World but a little disappointing for Guests waiting for the shopDisney release.

Guests encountered frustration when purchasing the first series of merchandise with a virtual queue, items on backorder, and some items selling out quickly.
Both Series 1 (Space Mountain) and Series 2 (Pirates of the Caribbean) were available for purchase in the Diseny Parks prior to a release on shopDisney. Will this be the same trend for Series 3 (Mad Hatter’s Tea Party)?
