Mickey Mouse: The Main Attraction
At the end of 2021, shopDisney teased us with a new collection coming for 2022 featuring our favorite pal, Mickey Mouse. Many were excited to learn that this collection would feature the same attractions as those in the Minnie Mouse Main Attraction Collection in 2020. The first series in this collection featured items from Space Mountain. In this collection, shoppers can choose from a Mickey plush, key, ears, and pin. The Minnie the Main Attraction had stackable mugs. However, it did not make its official debut over here in the U.S. until March 14th! Then, we had an entire month to wait until we finally saw the collection on shopDisney just a couple of weeks ago.
The day it made its debut on shopDisney, guests entered a virtual queue and had ten minutes to shop for their items. At the time of writing, the ears and pin are still available and the plush is currently on backorder. All other items have sold out!
Series 2 Release Date
The next series features items from The Pirates of the Caribbean. I think it’s interesting to note that this collection is not a monthly collection, but now goes by “series”.
Items in this collection are ears, a collectible key, Mickey plush, pin and Loungefly. This collection will make its debut on shopDisney May 6th at 7 am PT.
Series 2 of the Mickey Mouse: The Main Attraction collection will be released on shopDisney May 6th at 7 am PT./10 am ET!
I (Maggie) am happy to see that this collection releases at a more acceptable time than collections we have seen in the past for everyone over on the East coast!
