DVC is short for Disney Vacation Club. It is a timeshare run by Disney. Unlike other timeshares DVC has the flexibility of a point system.
You can book the time of year you travel and type of accommodation, including your resort of choice. With this style of timeshare you are not stuck in a particular week every year. You purchase an allotment of points that you can then choose to spend however you would like.

Newest Addition To DVC
Disney Vacation Club is updating the Big Pine Key building. This building is currently non-DVC. It will be converted to about 200 studios!
Disney Vacation Club describes it: These modern, sophisticated accommodations will sleep up to 5 Guests and offer luxe touches like quartz countertops, ornate crown molding and patterned tile. Resort Studios* also feature a flat-screen TV, a beverage center with a beverage cooler and coffee maker, and marble tile floors in the bathroom.
This newest addition to DVC will go on-sale to current Members on March 3, 2022.
DVC Sends Email
On March 1st some DVC members received an email regarding an incorrect 1098 Tax form. This is what the email stated:
Dear Valued DVC Member,
You will be receiving a corrected 1098 tax form for 2021 in the mail. The 1098 tax form has been corrected for the Outstanding Principal Balance in Box 2 which was not populated correctly in the original mailing.
Please allow up to 2 weeks to receive the updated forms as the mailings started today.
Please note the Mortgage Interest amount in Box 1 is accurate in the original 1098 Tax form for 2021 that you received by mail. The interest amount shown on our Member website is also accurate and will not change.
We value your Membership and appreciate the opportunity to continue to serve you.

The Mortgage Interest amount in Box 1 on the 1098 tax form is correct. You will receive your corrected tax form in about 2 weeks.
Members who have a loan through Disney for their DVC Membership would have received this email. Be sure to contact Disney Vacation Club Member Accounting if you have any questions regarding the correction to this form.

I think ‘valued member’ is stretching it a bit. Never felt so undervalued. If you are thinking of buying DVC direct, don’t bother. There are zero perks. Save money and go resale.
