Crowds are flocking to Disney to experience the last of the holiday season. However, they may be disappointed to learn that Disney’s new attraction is having a tough morning.

The week before and after Christmas is historically one of the busiest times of the year to visit. Many Guests look to spend their winter break at the Most Magical Place on Earth. With pent up travel demand and the 50th anniversary celebrations, this year surely looks different.

As such, Disney has made many changes to accommodate the crowds about to head in. For example, four Individual Lightning Lane Selections attractions are temporarily moving to Genie+. This will save you some money and hopefully help Disney streamline Lightning Lane Guests.

Additionally, Early Theme Park Entry is also extended from 30 minutes to 60 minutes! This means onsite Guests can enter the park an hour before offsite Guests. This will be crucial in knocking out those headliners at the beginning of the day.

Disney is increasing theme park hours to accommodate the crowds. Read more about these changes HERE. Unfortunately, despite all these modifications, issues can still pop up.

Disney attractions are not immune from technology and staffing issues. Just earlier today, we shared that one attraction faces a multi-day closure due to new cases. You can read more about that HERE.

Now we are learning that another ride is experiencing a long period of downtime as well. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is Disney’s newest ride and uses a virtual queue. Unfortunately, none of that matters right now because it is currently closed. Because of that, Disney was not able to distribute boarding groups at 1:00 pm.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is currently closed today, December 31.

Currently, the MDE app does not show which boarding groups are called. If you are at Epcot today and hoping to snag a group, keep checking MDE. There’s no telling when or if the ride will reopen today.

The ride has only been open a few short months, but overall, it has done well in terms of closures and downtime. Hopefully this is just a short closure!
