Could a new change now allow Disneyland to open to out of state guests?

At first, Disneyland announced they would reopen to California residents at first due to reopening guidelines set by the state of California. Could a new change allow non-California residents to visit very soon?

Original Reopening Plans

Vertical Tea Cups

California announced that beginning April 1, 2021, theme parks could open at 15% capacity in the red/substantial tier 2. Capacity would then increase as tiers shift. Additionally, only California residents will be able to visit the theme parks. Check out this great news HERE.

Disneyland announced that they would reopen on April 30, 2021. You can check out the Disneyland Ticket Sales and what you need to know to prepare for the reopening of Disneyland HERE.

Now Allowing Non-Residents?

A new update has been made to California’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy reopening plan. This new update states, “fully vaccinated persons from out of state may visit or attend activities or events that are restricted to in-state visitors.” Currently, SeaWorld San Diego is welcoming non-resident Guests.

At this time the Disneyland website states, “Until further notice, only California residents may visit the parks and in groups no larger than 3 households, per state guidelines.”

Vertical California Adventure

It appears that Disneyland is following the California resident requirement based upon the state guidelines. If indeed the state of California has changed this guideline, then we may see an update on the Disneyland website soon.

“Fully vaccinated persons from out of state may visit or attend activities or events that are restricted to in-state visitors.”

California’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy

In Florida, the Governor has placed an Executive Order in place to ban Vaccine Passports. Read about this HERE. If only fully-vaccinated visitors are allowed, California may require proof of vaccination with a vaccine passport. At this time this is purely speculation, but it seems that some type of proof of vaccination would be needed.
