Disney World increases menu prices at an EPCOT restaurant

Chefs de France

Chefs de France is a sit-down restaurant located in the World Showcase at EPCOT. In addition to an upscale menu, there is also a new prix-fixe option as well!

The menu boasts many French entrees from French Onion Soup to Boeuf Bourguignon.

Price Changes

Unfortunately, there are quite a few price increases at Chefs de France. While price increases are not completely uncommon, it can still make budgeting and planning for a Disney trip a bit more complex.

Since the menu is scaled back, it seems like almost every item is more expensive now.

Appetizers

Cassolette d’escargots de Bourgogne au beurre persillé (Escargot) is now $14.50, which is an increase from the previous $13.99.

Salade de chèvre chaud (Baked Goat Cheese) is now $13.99, up from $12.99.

There is a new appetizer! Salade aux lardons et croutons includes Selected greens with house vinaigrette dressing, diced smoked bacon, tomatoes, and homemade croutons. It costs $10.25.

Entrees

Boeuf Bourguignon was once $29.99 but is now $31.99. Thats a $2 increase for the entree.

A major increase involves the prix fixe meal, called Menu Francais. It includes choice of one Appetizer, one Entrée and one Dessert. Also included is a glass of either Chardonnay or Cabernet Sauvignon or a soda, Ice Tea, Coffee, or Tea. Previously priced at $49.50, it is now $54.90! That’s over $5 more but makes sense since many of these items in the meal increased as a la carte options.

Desserts

Creme Brulee increased from $11 to $11.75. Tarte au Chocolat Valrhona is now $12.75, which is an increase from the previous $11.

Also, Salade de fruits rouges à la menthe, Madeleine is now $12, up from $11.

Kids Meals

Kids meals also saw an increase at Chefs de France.

Blanc de Poulet Grillé (Grilled chicken Tenderloin) increased from $9.25 to $9.50

Croquette de Boeuf en Brioche (Ground Beef Steak) is now $10.50, an increase of .50.

It’s another reason to think twice about where you are going to eat at WDW. I am sure this is just the start of it and it will continue until there are empty seats and tables.
