The Polynesian Resort Christmas decor is much more subdued than many of the other resorts. There are many red and green flowers and some nice wreaths and a few swags, but it’s not as in-your-face as some can be. The resort only offers one set of characters this year. You can find Lilo and Stitch at the large Christmas tree downstairs in the rear of the lobby area.
We had just visited Stitch at Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani and we were about to pull into the Polynesian when I noticed a Magical Express bus. I told my youngest that Stitch was probably on that bus. She asked why he would be on that bus. I said he needed to hop over. She said, “Dad, he has a space ship. He doesn’t need a bus!” Why are little kids so smart? She repeated this conversation with Stitch and he said I’m crazy for thinking he rides a bus.
They appear at the Polynesian Resort December 19, 21, 23 from 4:45-8:30 pm. We saw NO LINE at 6:00 pm. Here’s the remainder of the Christmas resort character schedule.
Why is KtP not in these photos? Well, the photos ended up being really blurry. Uggh.
I didn’t bother asking what “Christmas Tree” is in a polynesian tongue. I do know that “Merry Christmas” is Mele Kalikimaka because Bing Crosby taught me so!
Spend $1000 per night to stay here and we’ll offer you a plastic lei and a monorail that won’t work during the day for many parts of late winter. We do have an indoor waterfall and one of the most difficult to book dinners in Walt Disney World.
I like how they decorate the tree with flowers. How many trees do you see in the wild with glass ornaments attached with metal wires growing on them anyway?
Here’s a little no flash vs flash example.
Keep Walt Disney World in business and buy the merch today! They need to find a way to pay off the billion and a half dollars for MyMagic- We’ll be out character locating again tonight and will bring you some more low quality photos and sordid details. Mele Kalikimaka.
